Starting Tuesday 3rd November at Christ Church, Revd Steve Collier  will lead a four-week course exploring how to share our faith confidently and answer some of life's big questions, including suffering, other religions and why being 'good' isn't enough.

Based on 1 Peter 3:15, the course is open to everyone, with no prior knowledge needed.

Tuesdays, 7.15–8.45pm. Each session builds on the last, so please only sign up if you can attend all four.

SUNDAY 8TH NOVEMBER

Our 11am service on Remembrance Sunday will begin five minutes earlier, at 10.55am, so that we can join together in observing the national two-minute silence at 11am. Please do make every effort to arrive a little earlier than usual so that we can begin this important act of remembrance together.

Southend CAP Debt Advice Centre warmly invites you to its Charity Meal on Tuesday 10 November 2026 at 7pm, hosted at Zen City, Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff-on-Sea. SATURDAY 14TH NOVEMBER 8.30AM

Join in with the women's breakfast at Christ Church - a morning of inspiration and encouragement for women, an opportunity to meet new friends, tuck into breakfast, and hear from our speaker, Pauline Hamilton who will be talking on the subject of 'Learning from Life experiences'. Registration from 8:30am for a 9.00am start. We should finish by 11.00am.

Shoe Box Appeal!

A shoebox filled with gifts can bring a child so much joy! Through Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child appeal, your box can share love and hope with a child in need. Grab a box, fill it with toys, school supplies and other small gifts, and return it by Sunday 15th November. It’s a simple way to make a big difference this Christmas.

SUNDAY 22ND NOVEMBER 11AM

The 11am service on Sunday 22nd Nov is cancelled because of Confirmations at 6pm

That means children and youth can use the slot to prepare for the Nativity Service on 13th  December. Come prepared to go through the script, get parts, do some practice, worship and enjoy some snacks together. 11-12pm.

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 22ND 6PM

Confirmation is an opportunity for young people and adults who have been baptised/christened to affirm the Christian faith for themselves—or to re-affirm their faith and commitment within the Church of England. During the service, the bishop lays hands on each candidate and prays for the Holy Spirit to strengthen them for a life of Christian discipleship.
