WHAT IS THE ELECTORAL ROLL?

The electoral roll gives people the opportunity to say ‘I am a part of St John’s, this is my church family and I want to help shape the life of this church for the good of the Gospel.’

If you are on the electoral roll you can vote at the annual meeting (called the APCM) and you can stand for positions on the church council.

Sign up using the form below but you might want to check out these FAQs first:

How do I know if I am ‘resident in the parish’?
Check out this map to see if you are in the parish of St John’s

Do I need to have been baptised in a Church of England setting?
No, baptism anywhere in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is recognised by the Church of England.

What does ‘habitually attending public worship’ mean?
Simply that you are worshipping out of habit with us at St John’s, however frequently. You do not need to be someone who attends every Sunday to be on the roll.

Can I print this form out and bring it to church?
Yes, you can, download the form here.

I have a different question about the Electoral roll…
In which case, please email hello@stjohnssouthend.org
